Jetpack provides custom content types for restaurants

Had I known that this feature existed back when I was making websites for restaurants, my job would have been substantially easier.

Today WordPress 4.2 hit the airwaves, bringing with it an improved handling of taxonomies. In investigating some potential issues, I learned about a useful feature in Jetpack.

It is part of the Custom Content Type module which you can find on your Writing Settings page in your WordPress dashboard. It provides content management for Menu Items, as well as Menu Sections. There is also some sweet drag and drop Menu ordering.

While the feature is well documented here, the page is not easy-to-find unless you are looking for it. Jetpack has often struggled to make it’s fine features known, and I hope we can figure out a way to provide a better showcase.

How about you? Have you ever used the Nova menus on a site?
