This summer, Megan and I are trying something new. We are hiking, with a goal of climbing Mt. Katahdin in September. This past weekend we started out small with Bradbury Mountain.
A few intermediary hikes we have planned between now and then are Mt. Monadnock, Mt. Washington, and Mt. Kineo. Can you recommend any others?

That is awesome, Javi! :high_five:
Camino Schmidt looks really beautiful.
Lone Stranger, we do indeed plan to stay overnight in Baxter. Most likely at Roaring Brook campground.
Thanks for your suggestion. I will checkout out Grafton Notch!
hey! sheila and I are also trying to get used to hiking too! last month we have done a couple of mountain trails, our record right now is around 10 miles (https://www.strava.com/activities/296589278), which is far from impressive, but we hope to do harder trails soon! 🙂
:highfive: !
The Whites make for a near endless supply of places to hike, but many day hikes are crowded on the weekends. Grafton Notch has several good options for day hikes which will really put your climbing legs to the test. If you are into more than day hikes doing the entire Grafton Loop makes for a great multi-day adventure.
Are you staying overnight in Baxter for your Katahdin climb? It helps make for an early start and avoids parking hassles in the morning. Good luck on your adventures and maybe I’ll see you folks out there somewhere on the trails.
