Different Kinds of Rice

Once you let yourself see it, it’s there all the time.

A nice long read from John Metta.

Props to Jan Greico for sharing this. I found this article to be riveting and very relevant.

On a somewhat related note, here is a conversation I overheard between two young boys in my neighborhood when I was walking home from work.

Kid 1: You know that kid, Phil? He’s not black right?
Kid 2: No, he’s Mexican.
Kid 1: He kind of looks Asian.
Kid 2: No, he’s Mexican.
Kid 1: But that’s kind of the same thing, right?
Kid 2: No, it’s not the same thing! I mean, they both like to eat rice on stuff. But they like different kinds of rice.
