Eric Dolphy: “Out to Lunch”

Describe it 1 sentence: Jazz that lives up to it’s title

Favorite tracks: “Gazzelloni”

How I heard about it: I first heard the name “Eric Dolphy” when listening to a track called “The Eric Dolphy Memorial Barbecue” by Frank Zappa. The song was weird enough to make me give the real thing a try.

Best line from artist’s Wikipedia: “He picked up the clarinet at the age of six, and in less than a month was playing in the school’s orchestra.”
